...enjoy the full experience of eating seasonally. Our CSA shares include the tender greens that are so fresh after a long Vermont winter, the peak summertime sweetness of blueberries in August, and the comforting variety of squash, roots and apples in the fall as the weather turns cold.

What's in a share?
Share Options
Full shares ($25/week) are designed for a family. Lbs. of food range from 5-23+/week. Shares are much lighter when they're filled with spring green food, and heavy when filled with squash, tomatoes, corn, and melons. Half shares ($15/week) supply a couple or one veg-lover, supplement a garden, or stock your fridge if your family often eats away from home. Mid-season avg is 12 lbs food/week. Full season shares run 26 weeks. Summer shares run 8 weeks, with pick ups on Tuesdays, 2-6 pm, at the farm during July and August. For full season shareholders, pick up days are Tuesdays and Fridays, 2-6pm (many Friday slots will be reserved for full season meat share members). This year, shares are self-packaged with an element of free choice, as appropriate (summer and fall). By letting shareholders bring a basket and pack their own shares, we hope to save a few plastic bags and have more time to grow and harvest the produce. We think people will enjoy having choices and being able to select their items. Please ask if you'd prefer a pre-packaged share (produce = farmer's choice).
Real Food: The Value of a Share Investing in good, clean food is investing in health: local, sustainable agriculture is the alternative to centralized, polluting, chemical-driven industrial food production. Another way is possible! We can keep food dollars in our community and have happy animals, living soils, nutritious foods, and a model that combats global warming.

Newsletters. Canning/Freezing/Pickling: Interested members will have access to bulk quantities of produce. This is harvest- and market-dependent in terms of selection and timing, and whether produce is price-reduced or just plain free. Tomatoes, rhubarb, apples, beans, cabbages, and corn are good candidates. Pastured Eggs Last season, most of our shareholders checked yes for eggs. The plan was to include eggs in shares when possible on a rotation. In reality, plans were laughed at by nature and shareholders didn't get eggs very frequently. To save on angst and avoid disappointing folks, no promises on eggs this year. We will have laying hens, and they will lay some eggs, and these will be available for sale to CSA members at market value. Eggs are included as an "other benefit" because unless things really work out well, the supply will be limited to the CSA members.

Meat Shares
Chicken Shares
Organic pasture-raised chicken shares are $100. One share is 5 fresh chickens, picked up at the farm on the week of shareholder's choosing (see order sheet- some Fridays in June, July, early August). Chickens are whole and weigh 4-6.5 lbs, avg. 5.5 lbs each. There is no limit on chicken shares. Pre-buy and fill your freezer! All of our meat shares are available separately from fruit and vegetable shares. Full Season chicken shares are $240. 12 chickens over the course of the pasture season. Birds are mostly fresh (some frozen chickens possible). Full season chicken and meat shares are designed to complement fruit and veggie shares, but can be enjoyed on their own. Picked up at the farm every Friday from June 5th to August 21st.
Spring: Share season starts in May. Maple syrup, applesauce, cider vinegar, and other value-added products accompany a variety of early greens from the greenhouse, including spinach, lettuce and salad mix, bok choy and other Asian greens. Other spring items may include sprouts, baby beets, carrots, rhubarb, radishes, garlic scapes.
Fall: We are an orchard! During September and October apples and fresh cider will be available for the choosing every week. Also: the last of the beans, melons, corn, and tomatoes; grapes, pears, winter squash, potatoes, beets, onions, cabbage, brussels sprouts, greens and salad mix, garlic, kales, pumpkins, rutabegas.
Summer: Shares may include, but are not limited to: peas, beans, broccoli, lettuces, beets, carrots, scallions, cukes, squash and zucchini, selection of tomatoes (heirloom, slicers, paste, sungolds), garlic, cabbages, melons, sweet corn, edamame, basil, parsley, new potatoes. Fruits include strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, early pears and summer apples. Raw honey. As CSA shares include more of successful crops and less of slim crops, total crop failures are real bummers. As appropriate and when reasonable to do so, we will provide organic veggies from other area farms. We will not source fruit off-farm. Please note that we've had some extreme cold on our farm and we expect that our stone fruit trees (peaches and plums) do not have any live fruit buds. We are waiting and seeing on the status of the berries.

Pork Shares
Organic pasture-raised pork shares are $120. One share is 20 lbs of mixed cuts. Meat is available late summer. It will come frozen. Our pork is certified oganic. Any cured products are not, because there are no certified organic meat processors in the state. Update: we will have nitrate-free bacon and ham after all! This is good news. Full Season meat shares are $240. 12 packages, alternating between fresh chickens and frozen pork. Total: 6 chickens and 20 lbs pork. Picked up at the farm every Friday June 5th to Aug. 21st.
